Girls Prep Team Tryout
Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 12:30-2:30
TCT will be having a girls prep team tryout on February 27th from 12:30-2:30. Following is some information to help you decide if TCT's girls prep team is right for you.
Gymnasts we are looking for will be 5-11 years old with a desire to be part of a competitive gymnastics team program. During the tryout, our staff will evaluate each gymnasts basic skills on each event as well as test her strength and flexibility. Results from the tryout will then be mailed to you the following week.
Please consider all of this information before signing up for the tryout.
What is the prep team?
- It is the foundation (entry level) of our team program. It's where our young gymnasts develop fundamental skills, body awareness, strength and flexibility.
- Prep team is more intense then our class program. It takes more dedication and commitment from both parents and athletes. This program is year round and the hours trained exceed our recreational program. 90% attendance is required.
- Some girls on our prep team do get an opportunity to compete in meets. However, to compete is based on the individual child's skill level, age, and meeting the requirements set by the coaching staff. These meets are level 4 and sanctioned by USA Gymnastics.
- Girls who progress and test out of our prep team move onto our compulsory level 5 & 6 teams.
Tuition:
- Paid monthly based on the number of hours trained per week. New prep team member will begin at 6 hours/week for $230.00/month. Note: Competing gymansts will have further expenses including USA Gymnastics athlete membership, a competitive leotard, and meet fees.
Practice days and times: Spring hours
- Tuesday and Thursday 5:00pm-8:00 weekly
