We made it to through the week and into the weekend of the first week of our country being pretty much shut down. It was a busy week, with a lot of cleaning, organizing, planning, and adjusting to this situation we are all going through together. A lot of virtual workouts, at home strength work, and “homework” assignments will begin this week, and we have plans in place to keep us going for a while. We have another staff planning meeting on Monday to assess where we are at, and to firm up plans moving forward.
There are a lot of positive signs out there that our country is doing the right things to stem the tide of this world wide crisis. Testing capabilities have improved, treatments, drugs, and preventative measures have rapidly improved, and most of the country is observing the social distancing protocols to slow the spread of this virus. We haven’t seen the rapid escalation that Italy saw, so let’s hope that is a sign that we are doing the right things.
“A lot of things are closed, but HOPE is not.”
If you start to feel stressed, maybe try what I do. I turn on KTIS radio (98.5 FM). I’m amazed at the number of times that the right song comes on, or a story from one of the DJs changes my attitude and gives me smile and better outlook on the day.
Everybody is different, and that may not work for you, so find the one thing you can do that changes your attitude and outlook on the day. What the mind thinks, is so much more controlling than we know. “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t . . . . you are probably right”.
“There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy.”
Take a deep breath, relax, smile, and we’ll all get through this together. TCT Strong.
Enjoy some things you normally wouldn’t have time for, and have a great weekend!
